The month of September is quickly racing by, as we settle into some, but unfortunately not all (due to the health crisis), of our normal fall programming. In this difficult pandemic time, we are still fortunate to be able to have many of our “traditional” activities and have even created many new things, which hopefully will continue after the pandemic!
Since September 13, we have been participating in our 2020 Discipleship Emphasis, “Discipleship in the Midst,” with the theme, “In the midst of all these things.” Appreciation is expressed to the Discipleship Committee for their excellent work on this program. We have been enjoying worship services built around this theme, and we look forward to Discipleship Dedication Sunday, which is September 27. Because our worship is not taking place in person this year, each family is requested to send in its commitment card on or about Sunday, September 27.
We have two remaining Sundays in September…the 20th and 27th (yes, the month is in-deed speeding by!) and four Sundays during the month of October. We will begin October (Sunday, the 4th) with Holy Communion during worship in recognition of World Communion Sunday. Additionally, there are many other events happening at Calvary during September and October.
We hope you will enjoy the beginning of the fall season 2020! Stay tuned for more news about other events.
