This class is an eclectic group with a varying age range, that meet on the 1st floor in the Burke Conference Room. This class rotates study topics on a 4 to 6 week rotation. They delve deeply into spiritual topics that are of major impact to their daily lives and enjoy discussion and fellowship together each week.

New Life Class

(Sunday mornings, 9:45 – 10:45 am)

Calvary’s New Life Class is an adult group (open to any age adult) which meets on the third floor, conveniently located next to the elevator, each Sunday from 9:45 – 10:30 a.m. The group usually has coffee/tea/hot chocolate, etc. and a chat until 10:00 a.m., with the lesson concluding at 10:30 a.m. to accommodate our choir and band members.

Each lesson is aligned with the Scripture from that day’s service, providing a deeper understanding to enrich the 11:00 a.m. service experience. Many lessons are linked to specific Moravian history and beliefs, such as The Ground of the Unity. We encourage all levels of participation in the discussion, from the reflective listener to the active “discussant.” Mainly, we seek fellowship with each other and Jesus Christ.

Christian Fellowship Class

(Sunday mornings, 9:30 – 10:30 am)

This is our longest standing Sunday School Class – it is one of the original classes established at Calvary Moravian and meets on the 1st floor across from Fellowship Hall. While not intending to be the class with the eldest attendees, given its history this group is mainly (though not entirely!) made up of some of our eldest members. The class uses The Present Word Curriculum, which connects similar story lines to those which will be heard in worship.

They begin slightly earlier than the other classes due in part to the active nature of their members. Often, its members are responsible for other aspects of Sunday morning life and need to be free to serve elsewhere by 10:30 am.
