Marc grew up in Plymouth, MA, land of the Pilgrims and Plymouth Rock. He attended Grinnell College in rural Iowa for his undergraduate studies, majoring in Sociology and concentrating in Neuroscience. While he initially planned to attend graduate school for neuroscience, his involvement with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Grinnell led to his decision to attend divinity school. Currently, Marc attends Wake Forest University School of Divinity and will graduate in 2018 with an M.Div.
Marc has served as Youth Director at Calvary since August of 2015, leading Sunday School and Wednesday night programming for Calvary’s youth. During the summer of 2017, he will serve as Pastoral Intern at Calvary, taking on greater responsibilities in the everyday life of the congregation. You can find him preaching on occasion, participating in worship, and leading the youth on various outings in the community.
In his spare time, Marc enjoys hiking, tennis, and hanging around local coffee shops in Winston. He also has a passion for social justice issues, participating in organizations that promote equality and social transformation. Following graduation from Wake Forest, Marc hopes to pursue ordination in the Episcopal Church.”
“It is an honor to work with the youth of Calvary and witness their spiritual growth within a supportive and welcoming congregation. In my ministry, I am always open to suggestions or opportunities for growth. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions about our youth programming or my work here at Calvary.”
